Is transparent lingerie meant for women who wax?

I just got some new lingerie, and i usually don’t get the transparent kind, so I got it for the first time now. It’s lacy and transparent (everywhere, not just the sides), so I was wondering if it’s really supposed to be for women who have no hair there. Would it be weird to wear it if I don’t wax? I don’t know how i feel about waxing there cause I’ve always been sensitive and my bf doesn’t mind either way.
